As long as the student is meeting eligibility for receipt of federal loan there would not be a reason to cancel a loan disbursement. Reasons that may apply to a delay in release of a disbursement may be Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress Suspension; the student has not begun or continues to be active in academic activities or the school may have received an updated ISIR from the Central Processing System (where the FAFSA is processed) indicating the student is no longer eligible due to loan default, or other flag. Notification would be issued by the financial aid office.
