All students, regardless of the receipt of federal financial aid, should be acquainted with policies and procedures related to dropping and adding classes; withdrawing from a class versus withdrawing from the academic program; and costs associated with these actions.

Another important policy is the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy.  Students receiving federal funding are subject to the qualitative and quantitative measures defining eligibility after the end of each academic term.  The federal regulations exists to ensure students are meeting required standards set by the institution for timely movement through their program of study and graduation.

The Return of Title IV Fund (R2T4) Policy may require a student to return unearned funds, thus leading to money owed back to the university that they are no longer eligible to receive.  It is extremely important that the student speaks with their Student Services Representative/Advisor BEFORE withdrawal.

Please review these two policies on the portal under Student Financial Services.
